Metrics

The numbers behind NerdWallet, Inc.: as-reported financial statements and company metrics for FY2021–FY2025, traced to the source filings, opened with the share-price history those statements have to justify. Every linked figure opens the exact page of the filing it was printed on, with the statement row highlighted. Amounts in US$ millions unless noted.

Reading notes: All figures are in US$ millions exactly as printed by NerdWallet - every Form 10-K and Form 10-Q in the corpus states '(in millions, except per share amounts)'. Each fiscal year in the five-year statement columns is cited to that year's own Form 10-K: FY2021 to the FY2021 10-K, FY2022 to the FY2022 10-K, and so on. Every cell in the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement for FY2021-FY2025 is page-verified. Revenue by product category uses NerdWallet's current cut (Insurance, Credit cards, SMB products, Loans, Emerging verticals). Insurance was first broken out in the FY2024 Form 10-K, which restates 2023 and 2022 on the same basis - so FY2022-FY2024 are cited to that filing. FY2021 predates the carve-out and is cited to the FY2023 Form 10-K, where Emerging verticals of 89.6 still includes insurance and no Insurance line exists. The FY2025 Form 10-K no longer prints the 'Change in fair value of contingent consideration related to earnouts' expense line (the earnouts ran off in 2022), so that row is blank for FY2025 rather than zero.

Traceability

413 of 414 figures on this page (100%) link to the filing page where they are printed — click a linked figure to open the source PDF at that page with the row highlighted. Unlinked figures come from standardized data feeds or pre-filing years.

  • All figures are in US$ millions exactly as printed by NerdWallet - every Form 10-K and Form 10-Q in the corpus states '(in millions, except per share amounts)'.

  • Each fiscal year in the five-year statement columns is cited to that year's own Form 10-K: FY2021 to the FY2021 10-K, FY2022 to the FY2022 10-K, and so on. Every cell in the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement for FY2021-FY2025 is page-verified.

  • Revenue by product category uses NerdWallet's current cut (Insurance, Credit cards, SMB products, Loans, Emerging verticals).

  • The FY2025 Form 10-K no longer prints the 'Change in fair value of contingent consideration related to earnouts' expense line (the earnouts ran off in 2022), so that row is blank for FY2025 rather than zero.

  • FY2019 and FY2020 in the long-term record are comparative columns of the FY2021 Form 10-K (the company's first 10-K, filed after the November 2021 IPO) and are page-linked; FY2019 total stockholders' equity is the only long-term cell taken from the standardized data feed and is shown unlinked, because no balance sheet in the corpus prints December 31, 2019.

  • Monthly Unique Users and registered users are the operating metrics NerdWallet headlined in Item 1 of its Form 10-K. MUUs were last disclosed for 2023 and registered users for 2024; the FY2025 Form 10-K discloses neither, so those cells are blank. Both are as-disclosed round figures (the filings say 'over 10 million', 'over 19 million').

  • Quarterly income-statement and balance-sheet figures are printed columns of the Form 10-Qs, except the two Q4 columns and the Q4 balance sheets, which come from the Form 10-K. NerdWallet files no fourth-quarter 10-Q and the Q4 earnings 8-Ks in this corpus incorporate the press release by reference without reproducing the statements, so Q4 income-statement and cash-flow cells are derived as full-year less nine-month year-to-date; each reconciles exactly in display units and each derived cell is marked.

  • Derived single-quarter cash flows were cross-checked against data/financials/cash_flow_quarterly.json and agree exactly for every quarter the feed carries (Q2 FY24, Q3 FY24, Q1 FY25, Q2 FY25, Q3 FY25, Q1 FY26); the feed carries no Q4 rows. The derived quarterly net change in cash also reconciles to the period-end cash balances on the quarterly balance sheets.

  • The data feed's 'capex' field (0.6 in FY2024, 1.3 in FY2025) is purchases of property and equipment only. NerdWallet's real investment in its platform runs through 'Capitalized software development costs' (20.7 in FY2024, 16.9 in FY2025), which is a separate investing line in the printed statements and is shown as its own row here.

  • NerdWallet has no funded debt: the balance sheets show no borrowings other than a warehouse line of credit used by its mortgage subsidiary, so no debt rows are shown.

  • 3 figure(s) differed between the data feed and the filing; the filing value is shown (see the run's metrics/metrics_tab.json for the audit trail).
